The former Minister of Finance, Professor Saif Al-Usaili, President of the University of Sana'a appointed by the Houthis, warned against compromising the rights of faculty members and harassing them in their university housing, which they obtained according to the law, and they spent their years teaching there for a number of years without salary.

Al-Usaili confirmed, in a series of tweets on his Twitter account, that these practices "will never pass because they are against the law and customs."

Al-Usaili called on the Minister of Higher Education in the Houthi government to preserve the rights of faculty members at the University of Sana'a, and hold him responsible for legal, political and moral responsibility.

He said that whenever the faculty members at the University of Sanaa demanded their rights, they told them (meaning the Houthis), "It is not a good time to demand this because Yemen is subject to aggression and when the aggression stops, consideration will be given to fulfilling these rights."

But he added: "However, they are harassed in their residence, so why do those who do this do not remember what they say a lot? We are in a state of aggression, and they do not harass them."

Al-Usaili added in another post: "Whoever incites the removal of faculty members from their homes, they either want to live after them, or they want revenge."
