The Arab coalition forces, led by Saudi Arabia, have pushed with major reinforcements for government forces in the confrontation areas in Al-Jawf Governorate, northeast of Yemen, according to military sources told "Newsyemen".

The reinforcements come in conjunction with fierce battles, between government forces on one side, and the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, on the other hand, in Al-Jawf Governorate.

The militia is engaged in violent confrontations to reach the Al-Ghail district from the direction of the Majzar district of the Ma'rib Governorate, but it has been facing fierce resistance by the army for nearly a month.

According to the sources, the coalition has strengthened, with great military force, the areas of engagement in al-Jawf, some of which came from the al-Baqa'a axis and include heavy machinery.

It said that about 100 combat kits arrived, with mostly Salafi fighters on board.

The sources suggested that the power equation on the ground would change in favor of the government forces in the coming days.

Two days ago, the coalition forces dispatched nearly 200 soldiers, led by the Salafi Radad al-Hashemi, commander of the Kataf Axis, and arrived in the province and were distributed on the frontlines.

Since last Thursday, the fronts of Al-Jawf Governorate have witnessed violent battles during which the Houthi militia managed to control the positions of the government forces.

On Monday, the army forces, backed by tribesmen, launched a violent attack on the positions of the Houthi militia in the Muhazmat front overlooking the Majzar district, south of Al-Jawf Governorate.

Violent confrontations broke out, using various types of weapons, and resulted in deaths and injuries among the Houthi militia and the damage of a military vehicle.

The Muhzamat front has been experiencing violent battles for days between government forces and the Houthi militia, amid heavy raids launched by Arab coalition aircraft on the Houthi positions.

Newsyemen sources said that the coalition aircraft intensified their raids and the army forces were able to recover Tibetan in the mountains of Al-Muqata’at.

Militias at the Majzqr front lost dozens of dead and wounded, including senior leaders who were buried in the governorates of Saada, Sana'a and Dhamar, according to the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah channel.
